The V1.62 beta build for American Truck Simulator is now available to download, with a handful of small additions.
More Tourist Boards
Following the successful launch of Road Trip mode and the Ford Car Pack DLC, developer SCS Software has added new Tourist Boards to discover in the States of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Washington, Louisiana and Nebraska (the latter gets two; the others, just one). New postcards are up for grabs for finding each board.
To celebrate Route 66’s centenary, we also added a new Route 66 Cross-Border Tourist Board, with commemorative boards in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Visiting all these locations unlocks a special Postcard and a Route 66 air freshener cabin accessory, but you’ll need to own the required DLC map packs to claim your rewards.
Improved materials
The Volvo VNL truck is the latest proponent of developer SCS Software’s Improved Materials System, enhancing the trucks’ interiors and lighting.
Goodyear Tires Pack update
Paint jobs in the Goodyear Tires Pack DLC have been updated, too, featuring the tyre giant’s updated branding and revised colours.
Game Radio
The in-game radio’s Escape station will be updated in V1.62, with 11 new songs added to the streamer-friendly playlist. Oddly, many tracks were removed due to copyright restrictions, so this situation should now be resolved.

To install American Truck Simulator’s V1.62 Open Beta, simply right-click on the title in your Steam library, then visit Properties > Betas tab > Beta Participation > public_beta.
