Japanese Charts: Castlevania And Tales Of Eternia Battle It Out For The Gold

We are back with our latest look at the Japanese physical charts from Famitsu, and two new releases have been racing for the top spot this week.

Both Tales of Eternia Remastered and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse came out of the gate swinging, but it was the former that just about secured the win, taking 17,911 sales over Castlevania's 15,630.

The games' multi-platform releases mean that the pair take up five of the top 10 this week, though the ever-consistent Rhythm Heaven Groove is still sticking around in fourth while last week's champ, Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III], has slipped to eighth.

Here's a look at the top ten in full:

We long for the day that we can say something different about the Japanese hardware charts (maybe we'll see a GTA 6 shake-up next month), but today is not that day.

Switch 2 maintains its commanding lead with an additional 21,854 sales to its name, and the PS5 beats out the Switch 1 when combining the system's respective SKUs — Sony's takes 10,667, while Nintendo sits on 4,857.
