- LMU hotfix aims to fix ntecode issues
- Events scheduled to stress-test changes
A new hotfix is now available for Le Mans Ultimate.
Since the release of the game’s V1.4 build, which introduced the first part of its US Track Pass with Laguna Seca and Daytona International Speedway, a series of issues has plagued the game’s multiplayer.
The problems centre around how collisions are handled – commonly referred to as ‘netcode’ in online parlance – which has resulted in game-breaking outcomes for many players. The game’s switch from Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to reliable UDP (RUDP) was partially reversed, but some issues persisted, necessitating today’s patch.
LMU custodian Motorsport Games has already organised public tests to ensure game stability for the following dates:
- w/c 14th September – Single Driver Weekly (Tues & Thurs) / 90 mins Le Mans / Hypercar, WEC LMP2, LMGT3
- 18th September – 08:00 UTC ONLY / Team Race / 6 Hours Silverstone / ELMS LMP2, LMP3, LMGT3
- 25th September – 08:00 UTC ONLY / Team Race / 12 Hours Le Mans / 62 Cars / Hypercar, WEC LMP2, LMGT3
The netcode issues were so severe that LFM’s Simverse Pro Series, perhaps the most lauded of all current LMU esports competitions, was postponed, although the series was resumed on 10th September.
The changelog for LMU’s V1.4.1.5 build is listed below.
