Alpine’s sim racing esports series is set to return in RaceRoom this year, after it was previously held in Assetto Corsa Competizione between 2021 and 2025.

Teased during the SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, the esports competition, now rebranded as the Alpine Sim Racing Series, will feature two races in each broadcast. A support series will see drivers get behind the wheel of the Alpine A110 Cup, which was added to the PC racing simulator as a free car in March.

For more competitive players, a separate series will feature the GT4-spec A110. A DLC car in RaceRoom, the customer race car boasts a 1.8-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder engine rated at 340 horsepower, along with an aggressive aero package including a prominent rear wing.

Mirroring the real-world European race series, the championship winner will earn a test drive in an Alpine GT4.

Alpine’s Sim Racing Series will commence in RaceRoom from October until December. It will coincide with the return of the RaceRoom Super Touring Championship this year. More information on the Alpine series has still to be revealed.

The announcement comes alongside RaceRoom’s “biggest update yet,” which is set to arrive tomorrow (20th October). It will add four new cars, including the Peugeot 406 and Ford Mondeo Super Touring legends, the Abarth 1000 TCR and Mini Cooper S Mk3.

Four new locations will also expand the track roster: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (1995), Laguna Seca (historic 1980s version), Fliegerhorst Wunstorf and Glasbachrennen.
