Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Adds Godzilla, Evangelion, Hello Kitty

Sega has laid out the second year of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. A $29.99 Season Pass Two covers six crossover packs, Siliconera reported. It kicks off November 3, 2026, with Godzilla.

The roadmap was revealed during the game's World Championship 2026 finals. Prices below are in US dollars.

Cheaper Entry and Season Pass Two

The standard edition has dropped permanently from $69.99 to $39.99. Deluxe fell from $89.99 to $59.99, Nintendo Life reported. A Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition, with the game and the second pass, costs $59.99.

A physical Year One Edition, which includes the first season pass, is also $59.99.

Season Pass Two is on sale now. It includes a Sega controllers decal pack. Switch and Switch 2 buyers pay the same.

What Is in the Six Packs

Godzilla leads on November 3 with a course called Godzilla Escape. It reworks the City Escape stage from Sonic Adventure 2. Machines include the Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf.

Evangelion follows between November 2026 and March 2027, and Nintendo Life lists January 2027. Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami become playable. A Tokyo-III course and three Evangelion machines come with them.

Virtual Sanrio Puroland and Segaland arrive between April and August 2027. The Sanrio pack brings Hello Kitty and Kuromi, plus their Apple Kart and Charming Cruiser machines.

Segaland adds a course and machines styled after the After Burner, Outrun and Super Megalo arcade cabinets.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake series and Persona packs land from September to December 2027. Nintendo Life lists the FFVII pack under the working title Midgar Pack, and the Persona pack as Reload Revival Royal.

Sega has not detailed the characters, courses or machines for either. A bonus pack of Sega Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast machines is also planned.

Free Updates and Duel Mode

Bayonetta arrives on November 3 with her Butterfly Witch machine. Rival Duel matches unlock it. A Sonic McLaren Racing outfit and car follow later in November. Aigis from Persona 3 is due in early 2027.

Owners of both season passes also get Super Shadow on day one.

Duel Mode is a new 1v1 format. Its Duel Boost gauge fills over time and with item use. Modes include offline Rival Duel matches against CPU racers, online free matches, limited-time Best-of-10 events and Friend Matches.

A Gadget System Upgrade adds the Grand Master Plate. It gives 1-slot gadgets a seventh Super Slot to amplify their boosted effect. Fifteen new gadgets arrive with it. Post-launch free and paid characters will also appear as CPU opponents online and offline.

Sega is also developing Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Arcade DX, according to Siliconera.

The game is on Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
