Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown’s casino was mired in controversy when it launched last year. Not only was it inaccessible in over 60 countries due to gambling laws, but the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series was also an exclusive prize car.
This meant that the only way to obtain it was by winning the jackpot in a slot machine mini-game, with no option to purchase it separately.
Over a year later, the German performance machine is no longer restricted to the casino. As part of a Season 7 patch update, the Black Series can now be purchased at the German Performance Dealership for a whopping 12,500,000 Solar Coins. It’s also restricted to Level 30.
Additionally, the patch update improves Solar Pass XP earnings for non-live events alongside a host of bug fixes.
It arrives after the launch of Season 7 last week, which adds six new cars: the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Skyline V-Spec II, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV, Mazda RX-7 Series 6 Type-R, Nissan 370Z Nismo Phase 1, BMW M4 GT3 EVO and Volkswagen Beetle Buggy Holiday Edition.
After that, Season 8 is set to add long-awaited purchasable houses and real estate, but there is currently no release window amid Nacon’s financial troubles.

Known Issues
Although the patch fixes many key issues for players, we are still working on some other known issues from player reports and results from our QA. We apologise for any inconvenience.

- Motion blur can cause smearing artifacts on your own vehicle at speed
- The livery lock is being reached far more often than intended
- Removable spoilers can cause shadows to appear
- Nissan 370Z Nismo – windscreen wipers do not work and the indicator in cockpit is not working
