In an unexpected collaboration, The Crew Motorfest is getting a surprise Tomb Raider tie-in.
Launching on 7th October, the Tomb Raider Secrets of Ni’hau will be a paid expansion, adding a new island location, five vehicles and a playlist set in the Tomb Raider universe. It sees you team up with Lara Croft to search for her missing friend Jonah, who disappeared while searching for a relic on the island.
Featuring eight playlist events, the expansion is set on a separate island based on Hawaii’s Ni’hau. Several action set pieces are shown in the trailer, from driving out of a collapsing temple and evading a dinosaur.
Ivory Tower worked closely with Crystal Dynamics to capture the spirit of the Tomb Raider franchise, with players exploring ancient ruins, finding clues and solving puzzles while being guided by Lara and trying to escape the dangerous island.
Five vehicles will feature in the expansion, including the Mercedes-AMG G63 6X6 SUV:
- Mercedes-AMG G63 6X6 (2013, Rally Raid)
- Kimberlite HP-18-160 Carmina (1968, Plane)
- Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES (2021, Rally Raid Bike)
- Suzuki Quadracer R450Z (2008, Rally Raid)
- Proto A500 (2016, Special Edition Helicopter)
Completing the playlist unlocks the Kimberlite HP-18-160 Carmina. Alongside the new vehicles, there are also 25 animals to photograph, 17 treasure chests to collect and three photo quests.
The premium Tomb Raider-themed expansion launches alongside the free Season 11 update, which adds a new island set in Kaui, new vehicles including the Bugatti Tourbillon and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, and an off-road expedition-themed playlist.
