- Asetek Initium DD10 Wheelbase available now, priced at $499 / €499
- First Xbox-compatible Asetek steering wheel set for Q1 2027 release
Asetek’s 10 Nm Initium direct drive wheelbase has been released, and, in a first for the Danish sim racing brand, it is Xbox-ready.
However, players won’t be able to use the Initium DD10 with Microsoft consoles just yet, it will only achieve compatibility when paired with an Xbox-specific Asetek steering wheel, the first of which is due to be released in Q1 2027. Despite this, the wheelbase includes PC compatibility from the off, and is fully functional with the complete range of Asetek steering wheels.
Price-wise, the new wheelbase represents Asetek’s cheapest wheelbase yet, sitting at $499 (excluding sales tax) and €499 (including 19% VAT), and comes complete with a five-year warranty.
Featuring Asetek’s proprietary GripSense Force Feedback system, the Initium DD10 has five rear inputs suitable for Astek peripherals like its Virtual Button Box, Dual Mode Shifter and the Load Cell Handbrake, with a ‘zero-play quick release’ and USB passthrough for third-party steering wheel compatibility. A separate Asetek Racing Wheelbase Boost Kit also ups the DD10’s torque figure to 14 Nm.
