A free Samba de Amigo content drop has hit Sonic Racing Crossworlds, with a new character and more.

Samba de Amigo has a free content drop coming to Sonic Racing Crossworlds. There will be an in-game festival running from Thursday, September 10th at 8 PM EDT until Sunday, September 13th at 7:59 PM EDT.

Players will be able to unlock decals, gadgets, and more with their festival points. Here is what is on offer directly from SEGA:

• Amigo as a playable character
• Special “Amigo (Classic)” Skin featuring Amigo’s signature sombrero 

• Amigo’s vehicle, the Locomotive de Amigo
• Special emotes and sounds
• “VAMOS A CARNAVAL” 2023 Version, (Final Lap)
• “Let’s find and shake it” (Jukebox Only)

We reviewed the title back at launch, giving it an 9.0 and stating:

Excellent visuals with great performance, vibrant tracks, a technical driving model with quite the skill ceiling, a massive depth and variety, despite the not crazy amount of unique content just quite yet. It may lack a memorable single player portion, and it does have a few minor shortcomings. Rest assured though: Sonic’s latest kart racer is one of the absolute bests the genre has to offer. Its incredible spectacle and high-octane racing slingshots it to the top of the must play kart racers on Xbox, and I’m sure I’ll be revisiting this one for a long time.
