Fanatec has unveiled a new sim racing bundle, pairing the ClubSport DD+ Wheel Base with the latest F1 V3 Steering Wheel. Dubbed the ClubSport F1 Racing System, it replaces the previous ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 bundle.
Compatible with PC and PlayStation, the ClubSport DD+ is a direct-drive wheel base that delivers up to 18Nm of torque, up from 15Nm thanks to a recent firmware update. This is combined with Fanatec’s ‘FullForce’ technology, which adds subtle vibrations in supported racing games to enhance the immersion.
Meanwhile, the included F1 V3 Steering Wheel is wider than its predecessor, with a forged carbon finish and a colour scheme inspired by Formula 1. It’s adorned with a 2.7-inch white OLED display, along with 15 RGB LEDs and two ‘FunkySwitch’ rotary dials.
The bundle also includes the Podium Advanced Paddle Module, which features magnetic shifters and Hall sensors.
Pricing for the Clubsport F1 Racing System has yet to be announced, but the previous bundle can still be ordered on Fanatec’s website for €1,149.95.
The new sim racing bundle will be showcased publicly at the Tokyo Game Show this week, allowing visitors to try it before it goes on sale. Availability has yet to be announced, but Fanatec says it’s “undergoing final review” by Sony before it enters production.
“The ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 has been an important product for Fanatec, particularly through its use at the highest level of competitive sim racing”, Fanatec’s VP and General Manager Tobias Stelzer commented.
“With the ClubSport F1 Racing System, we’re bringing further refinements to the wheel, while retaining the direct drive performance that drivers already know from the ClubSport DD+. We’re looking forward to putting it in people’s hands for the first time at Tokyo Game Show.”
